Eva, if you speak fluent Slovak, I suggest you pick up a few copies of the local want ad papers in town. Sorry, I don't remember the names, but they are similar to the "nickle ads" in the USA.
If you reply, I can find out the names of these papers for you...they are FULL of ads for flats from ordinary people at ordinary prices. You must be wise, however to be certain that you trust whomever you are renting from, and that they don't overcharge you as a foriegner.

Hello,
We are looking for a studio or 1 bedroom in Bratislava, preferably Pertzalka, and are having a hard time finding resources. Weve tried Avizo and a few other websites but have only secured 1 appointment. We are also not interested in going through a real estate agency as they cost a lot of money and are not that necessary. I speak Slovak fluently, so it is no problem for me to speak with the locals. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to contact me at eosusky@yahoo.com.
