Canada beats Belarus 4-1 in hockey worlds opener
Canada eased to a comfortable 4-1 win over Belarus in their first match at the ice hockey world championship Friday, while Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland also earned victories on the opening day of the tournament. Jordan Eberle scored twice for Canada in the Olympic champion's Group B opener, with Jeff Skinner and John Tavares also adding goals.
